I received this as a gift and i dont have a receipt to return it, does it need cleaned ? If so how do I do that ?? Please help gamers,,THXS..

okay ready? look at the game you're putting into the system. make sure it's for xbox. more than likely you're putting in the wrong game considering it says it must be an xbox game.

make sure it isn't one of the old xbox games. also make sure you have the wires correct. if not you may need to return it. you can return it as long as you have the bar code that is on the box if not i'm sorry for you.

honey if you don't have a receipt then give it up or you can get someone who know wht they doing open it up and look inside of it and see what the problem or take it to the shop or buy you one or see if the person who brought it got the receipt

did you put an xbox 360 game?
or was it some other consoles game like PS2, PS3, Game cube, or wii?
they don't exactly compatible, u know..

well that is what happend to me so i just told the place and they said: make sure you do not have an xbox game if you dont have a harddrive!

try going to a local game store if they cant fix it see if you can get a new one or your games might be scratched and are not being read clearly

this happened to me too.
first, put in a DVD, then try putting in a game again.
if that doesn't work, then go to the setting place, and redo all of your settings again.
