What would be the effect on individual towns? Families? Prisons?

The obvious is over population, but what about the some of the less obvious? The effects on a family? A company?

We would have to ultimately stop birth. No more babies. Assuming we continue to age, no more children or even young adults eventually. We would all eventually crave death and search for ways to bring it back.

Well I think over population has been covered. There would be lack of food. The eco system would be stuffed as we would have fished all the fish out of the sea. Killed a lot of animals. I guess the government would have taken measures for that by creating breading farms etc. There would be a lot of polution ie rubbish etc. Towns would be very crowded. Families would be massive and I would say a christmas gathering would include millions of people. Prisons would have the same problems including over population. There would be lots of fights and the containing areas would be different as the prisoners would not be scared of death. There would be no murders at least.

There would be lots of problems- think about it, people in horrible accidents wouldn't die. So what would the do, sit around all mangled and in pain for ever. There would be lots of hospitals and lots of people working home health care. In fact, it would seem like the main job for those few who were healthy, would be to take care of those billions that were old and infirm. That would suck.

In terms of towns, I think the amount of trash generated would be unbelievable, and there'd be no place to put it- although there would be no cemetaries, so I guess that could work.

As for prisons, I think the justice system would be vastly different. It would have to be, because it would be so back logged (it's terribly backed up now).

On the up side, you'd have some really cool family photos! Although, there really wouldn't be any reason to procreate... the possibilities go on and on, don't they?

Why not consider other possibilities...

All the brightests minds in the world looking for possibilities of solving this dilema. Man would not stand still and would look for alternatives to this issue.

Perhaps we would already be space a space faring race expanding on the resources available through the solar system and beyond.

There would definitively be conflicts for power and control of the population but I believe there would be hope for humans, no matter how many of us there were.

Bruce bleedin Forsyth really would be on every day, Cliff Richard would put out more crappy records, and someone will need to inform the Christian lobby, they are banking on Armageddon, walking dead, chariots of fire , hell, and demons, the full nasty- God show. Recycling would be unimportant, we could use graveyards as land-fill sites. Dentists would be on £98000 per hour, kids would stay at home until they were 450 years old, and the Stones will still be rocking, and Thatcher will come back for another 42 terms !

Overpopulation

Overcrowding, higher crime, traffic jams, pollution, there would be no countryside, as you would have to build houses/flats on it to accommodate everyone, prisons would be full, prison ships would be full, hospitals would not be able to cope (can they now?!) & undertakers & funeral prlours would go out of business.
