I think you have a very good point. When Yahoo Answers? takes too many hours out of our day, I don't think we'll have much of a life. We have to ask ourselves the question: "If I should get to the top of the list of Yahoo Answers? in any category, will it be worth all the hours out of my life to have gotten there?"
Thanks for asking this question! I think I'll spend less time answering the questions and more time living a quality life.

I sometimes answer this question when I see it and I guess this is one of those times. :)
I expect I am not your typical Yahoo Answers user. I spend many hours here because my husband has terminal cancer and sometimes this is what I do when he needs to sleep and rest. It helps keep me sane and keeps at bay for a while that chaotic world that is cancer. It keeps me connected to some sort of real world other than what is happening in our lives. When he feels well enough he sometimes answers a few questions or gives input into some of my answers. I hope this gives you another perspective on why people use this site. I think there are probably many reasons that keep people here for hours, and the one I have given is just one of them. Take care, and enjoy your YA experience.

I usually stop after about a hundred points, but to make it to the top of the list, you have to give a good answer and have it picked as best a whole bunch of times, it doesn't matter how much time you spend, just how you answer

Oh wow I don't know how many hours I stay on...... But I have like 700 answers in the past two months so it must be quite a lot..... And most of my posts are comparatively long. Maybe about four hours a day.

Some days just a few minutes, other days perhaps an hour or so. All depends on if I have anything better to do.
