Talk to your doctor to clarify what you can take and can't take! Don't listen to yahoos on the Internet on something so important!
The first 12 weeks of your pregnancy are particularly critical.

The following SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN during pregnancy:

Advil or Motrin (also known as ibuprofen)
aspirin
Alleve or Nuprin (also known as naproxen, naproxen sodium)

It is OK to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) occasionally,
but you can only take two regular-strength pills or ONE
extra strength pill. (Don't ever take two extra-strength Tylenol when pregnant because its too much).

Also, be sure to eat healthy with lots of protein, extra vegetables and fruits. And take a prenatal vitamin every single day. This is particularly important during the first 12 weeks.

Good luck! And talk to your doctor!

Keep in mind that your child shares your circulatory system, during pregnancy, so you should always try to recover from headaches as much as possible with as little medicine as possible!

Tylenol is not bad for you or your child at Normal Levels, but can become hazardous to you and the babies health when you attempt to take more than the recommended dose or to many doses.

You could use a few to make the headache less irritating.

Remember, a headache can be caused by many things and pain can be reduced by ways, other than medication.

If your pain becomes a factor in your daily life, that should be brought up with your's and your child's doctor!

Good Luck!

Tylenol is the only safe one. Advil and aleve are the no ones. Tylenol contains acephedamin which is okayed during pregnancy as long as it is taken properly.

The best thing to do is take nothing, obviously.

Tylenol is safest during pregnant.

Advil is considered "safer", but only during the first two trimesters. It can not be take during the last trimester as a) it thins the blood and b) It can cause the duct in your baby's heart to close prematurely (this is very, very rare).

The first thing you should do if you get a headache is eat a small snack (protein and carbs --if possible) and drink a large glass of water. If that doesn't work and you are miserable do what you think is best.

I highly recommend you consult your doctor. During my pregnancies I was given a list of medicines that were okay to take. I believe you can but I am not 100%... Again this won't substitute a confirmation from the doctor. I do recall that you should not take aspirin during pregnancy.

Tylenol is safe. And boy does it help when nothing else can. Also.. they can prescribe safe things if the headaches get too bad. Aspirin is not safe and neither is any anti-inflammatory.. such as ibuprofen. Good luck and congrats
