No they're not legal tender in England, you can take them to the bank of england in threadneedle street london and they will change them for coins or legal tender notes i.e. £5, £10, if you have enough of them to make it worth your while.

Am I missing something????? I live in Scotland and as far as I am aware, they are still legal tender. Therefore, if you can still use them in scotland, I doubt they'll be worth anything more than £1. Perhaps if you keep a hold of them though, you may be able to sell them on ebay in years to come and make a profit.

They're too recent to be worth anything more than £1. Take them to your bank and see if they will still change them.

It's probably too late to hand them in at a bank, so your best bet is to try a collector of old money. You might get more than a £1 for them!!!
