The traditional way to spell it in the United States is with a Z my middle name is elizabeth. The name elizabeth is sort of preety but i like it as a middle name not first but it is very much your choice. I like the name Madison or Maddie(y) If i have a baby any time soon it will be Madison wich mixs my best friends name alliSON with Maddie so i like it but yes elizabeth is spelled with a Z traditionally in the united states.

:) Hope I helped even tho i rambled on about other things for a bit :)

The traditional way is with a Z but you can spell any name anyway you want. That is what makes a name original. Just don't get crazy with the spelling as it will make the kid nuts when it is older.

Well, theres only one way to pronouce them.
If you spell it with an S it will come out as, Elisabeth, the Elisa part sounds lis insted of liz.
If you spell it with a Z it sounds like Elizabeth, the Eliza sounds like liz insted of lis.
You can always make the s sound like a Z, it all depends on how you pronuce it like elise or eiliza.
Hope that helps.

Not to sure I have it Elizabeth for a middle name. My real name is Amanda but When I was 13 I took the nickname Amie I spelled it different for at 13 I wanted to be different . When it came to my kids I went with Emilie not Emily so I feel it is up to you not anyone else....

i think of Elisabeth is prettier, greater unique, and much less harsh-finding than Elizabeth is. Elizabeth is rather, yet for some reason i think of the 's' extremely of the 'z' is sweeter and smoother to seem at.

it depends on where you are from. i am not positive but i believe in my european countries they have always spelled it with an s. my co workers are from germany and they both spell it elisabeth. they also spell christel this way and i think that is very pretty too.

i prefer an s! :) sd
