Stone Cold is the better wrestler. It is a well known fact that HHH has a relatonship with and eventually married Stephanie McMahon which resulted in most of HHH's title reigns including the nine month title reign from late 2002 to 2003. Because of this, HHH's world title reigns after 2001 are somewhat tainted. Stone Cold won 6 times. Had he not suffered the neck injury at the 1997 SummerSlam when he wrestled the late Owen Hart, he would still be competing today and would have added to his title victories and he wouldn't have to marry into the McMahon family to do so. Austin could have competed in today's era. He surely would have beaten Cena for the title.Had Austin been on Smackdown, He would have beaten Batista. HHH hasn't been at his best since his quad injury he suffered in 2001. He was much better before then. Therefore, Stone Cold is the better wrestler.

Depends. I remember both in their prime.

Stone Cold was a better performer. He was as entertaining as anyone has ever been and had a prescence that distracted you from the fact he couldnt wrestle. Technically, Austin had less of an arsenal than Cena. Most Austin matches consisted of a vertical suplex, lou thesz press and a stunner. Other than punches he rarely did any other moves, even on ppvs. Once I saw him do 5 vertical suplexes in one match and still no new moves.

HHH had nowhere near the same prescence and was helped by his relationship with the mcMahons. But all this aside. IN THE RING, HHH was a better wrestler than Austin. NO DEBATE. It's hard to tell now after all the injuries, but HHH used to be able to wrestle as good as anyone, and paid his dues for years. He was going to be a star regardless or politics

So....
HHH- better mat technician
Austin- better entertainer

so its how you determin "better wrestler". Although Austin did somewhat bring back wwf from near extinction by himself

Well, when I think of the BEST wrestler (out of the two), I must go with Austin -- hands down. Yes, his finishing move wasn't the best but he mase up it with other basic tech moves.

When I think of the better wrestler, I look for the 50/50 package -- like a man who you want as a mate -- he doesn't have to be perfect, but he has to have so basic qualities.

So Steve Austin would be the man ... hands down. He'd definitely out wrestle HHH ... not unless HHH gets helps ... like he usually does to win main events.

HHH is the worst wrestler in the sport. Stone Cold isn't much better, but he's better than HHH.

Push.
Both have awesome camera presence and sold the moves and characters very well. HHH has a slightly better physique, but Austin had the better angle.
