I was just in my bathroom and I saw this really small, silvery thing move across the floor.......it actually looked kind of like a fish more than anything else.........what the heck was it??!!!

It was a silverfish! That's what they're called.

Hi, ooooh they are called 'silverfish' its when there is damp i think, there was always loads at my grandads house, epescially by the fireplace. There cute a wriggly, they dont harm you, but i dont really know what they are or where they come from, But some powder down if you see anymore, but im sure you wont. Since we have moved in the house were in now ive only seen one. Dnt worry.

Quite right - it's a silverfish. They're harmless and live on shed skin. If you want to get rid of them, wash all the floor coverings and spray a contact insecticide (creepy crawly spray) around the edges of the room.

It is a silver fish which is a harmless insect that likes damp places.I had some years ago when my old kitchen was damp but since having central heating and new kitchen I haven't seen any.

They are silverfish. They seem to be disgusting at first, but then the realization sets in that they're harmless and almost...cute. They're not a big deal. You can spray bug stuff over there or just let it go.

It was a silver fish we got them , they are supposed to like the damp but my bathroom is upstairs and is not damp , they dont seem to do any harm

It is a Silverfish! They are common in most bathrooms-we have them all the time. They are nothing to worry about.

It was a silverfish. I always rescue them from the bath before I run one. They're lovely little things and appear to be so helpless.

they are called silverfish, they are harmless. you can get rid off them by putting some talc powder on the area you saw it run back to. As they do like the wetter areas, i think they are horrible.

but like all house beatles they are a pain

silver fish tend to like damp rooms
