That they have the worst life ever. They say you messed your life up and things like that. Don't they know that you can have problems when you are older too when having a baby. I had my child at a young age. I'm still in college, I live on my own, I pay my own bills, I have my own car, no I'm not on welfare, and I'm not broke either. I was never the type to party anyway so not going out every weekend doesn't bother me. I never smoked and I never drank so that doesn't bother me either. My life is fine and I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY YOUNG PEOPLE RUIN THEIR LIVES WHEN HAVING BABIES.

No I didn't want a baby.......it was a mistake.

But at least Im not out aborting every baby that forms in my stomach like some people. And I think when people say things like that I think it encourages and makes people feel stupid when they do get pregnant. They feel embaressed and then want to get abortions and IT'S NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 19 going on 20In caseyou wanted to know age

What do u think!!

Fact of the matter is, most young people are not CAPABLE of supporting and caring for a child. Period.

I was 19 when I had my first child. Yes, I was young. I was married, and thought I knew it all. We divorced. It was hard but I will tell you this much....my daughter is one of the most wonderful children on this earth, and *I* raised her.

But still, the fact remains, MOST young people are not capable of what you, I, and others like us have done. It's the truth, and as much as a stigma it is to young parents, it won't change other people's minds.

I don't think that people should be so judgemental about things like this. I'm not married and im 20 with a baby on the way. My boyfriend and I were trying because we both wanted to be young when we started having kids. I do not look down on anyone who has children at a young age and I think that people should mind their own buisness because people have different reasons for their situations.

Good for you, sounds like you really have things in control. I agree with you, another thing is the people that think you have to be married to have a baby. I am 19 weeks pregnant and I am really tired of the are you married, or are you two gonna get married now? questions. I hate feeling like I have to explain my situation. And I am 26! Good Luck with your child and school.

I know, I get those remarks a lot, it's like people look down on me sometimes. Stupid, and my life is great, I was young when I had my son, but I wouldn't change anything, my husband and I have a nice home, nice car, I'm in college, he has a good job, and we're both great parents. People can be so judgemental, it use to hurt my feelings, now I try to ignore them. Goodluck to you, sounds like you're doing great!!

A lot of people your age either arent capable or mature enough to raise a child luckily you are. i think most people think like that because getting pregnant young you could miss out on a lot of opportunitys. Like school younger people usually have to drop out to support theyre children.

i think that any stereotype, whether its about race or religion or young people having kids is ridiculous and I pay no attention to the losers that spout them.
