If you are on a Mac, open it in either quicktime or imovie(whichever one gives you best quality). Then you can open up preview. Go to File > Grab> Selection. Then outline thet still frame you want. Not the greatest quality pic, but i've found it usefull here and there. Hope that helps

good day, Does the flicks freeze once you rip them or once you play them after ripping? in the event that they freeze once you rip them, there is two recommendations, first, acquire the main modern-day version of DVDFab, 2d, rip from yet another disc. DVD Decrypter is previous and can't rip interior the direction of the main modern-day replica protections. i do no longer think of it is going to ever be as much as date, the programmer works for some massive corporation now. DVDFab gets as much as date generally. in the experience that your action picture freeze when you have burned it to a clean disc, then there might desire to have long gone some thing incorrect once you the place burning or some thing with the disc. DVDShrink is previous as a ripper, yet can nevertheless on the instant be used as a compressor. when you have ripped your action picture with DVDFab, you could cut back it with DVDShrink. have relaxing.

This might be a stupid question, but are you pausing the movie first?
Might try different media software, i.e. media player, quicktime, etc.
