I'm 13 weeks pregnant and I still haven't been able to feel the top of the uterus where the baby is located. When will I be able to feel it?

At 14 weeks you can feel a firm mound just about your pubic bone.
At 16 weeks it's half-way between your belly button and your pubic bone.
At 18 weeks it's about an inch below your belly button, and at 20 weeks, it's right on.
You may be able to feel it as early as 14 weeks if you are very slim. The farther along you are, the easier it becomes. By 20 weeks you can't miss it.

You wont be able to feel it for a while. Your uterus is still so small (compared to what ti will be), so you shouldnt be feeling it yet. Even when it is further up in your abdomen, you might have a hard time feeling it (even when pushing hard) since you dont really know what you are feeling for or what it shoudl feel like (since this is your first pregnancy). I know *I* didnt kow what I was feeling...but wait until you begin having braxton hicks contractions....or when teh baby settles into the side of your uterus...and your belly gets super hard...you will DEFINATLY be able to SEE the top edge of your uterus....it's very weird..but cool all at the same time!

So dont worry abotu not being able to feel your uterus...as long as your doc is measuring it and is able to feel it (this might not happen for a few ore visits yet still)...no worries!

Good luck and congrats!

the uterus on first time mothers would not upward push above the pubic bone till ultimately after 12 weeks 2d and above pregnancies can upward push after 10 weeks. so in the adventure that your having a annoying time buttoning your pants you have been taking area in the excuse of being pregnant and ingesting to much like something human beings did first time around.. whew if we basically knew how annoying it somewhat is to take off after wards.. following pregnancies we remember and don't over indulge. ordinary wt benefit for the 1st 13 weeks is a million-2 lbs..first time mothers oftentimes start to experience flutters at 15 weeks

Depending on your weight, when you Lay on your back you should be able to feel the top of your uterus. However, you won't be able to feel the baby till around 18-24 weeks. Again, it really depends on your weight. The heavier you are the harder it will be to feel these things.
Congrats on this exciting time and good luck.

usually you cannot feel it till around 20 weeks when it hits your belly button, unless you are skilled and know which bump is what.
