Hello,
If motive in this context (case) is a software program, within windows the normal method of removal is to uninstall the application, goto windows start button, start menu, settings,control panel, add remove programs, open add remove programs, scroll down the list until you find the program motive, click on the remove button. And your done.

Assuming you mean the HP Instant Support E-Support Support Tool (Motive), if you look under Add/Remove programs, you should see the HP help and support program. You can uninstall it from there. Or if you want to use it later, try disabling it from Startup by running services.msc
