It happened a month ago. My husband had 2 wedding rings. they were yellow gold in a spiral shaped, hand made and custom designed. Together they valued around $1800.

My husband new to changing pooh diaper decides to try and removed his rings on the table. Few minutes later my husband's two cousin sisters, and brother in law came home. I was serving them juice and refreshments and noticed the rings on the table and said to myself, they are just families but then when i came back with some finger foods, the rings were gone. After they left, i asked my husband to put the ring back on and he asked me for it and thats when we realised it was gone. I asked them about it and only two has seen it and the third person, i fully believe her when she said she never saw it. But now its gone and i feel bad about it. My parents and husband says there is nothing to worry about it as its gone for good.

Your parents are probably right, Move on sweets.... Its just a symbol. Losing it does not mean anything other than its lost.

If you are so sure that they were there when your cousin sisters and brother in law where there, then you left the room and came back and they were gone. Confront them stronger. Let them know that you know they were there and then they dissappeared. Give them an out by having them over to discuss the issue and say that you don't care who did it but would like them to show up somewhere in the house. That way they can leave the rings annonomously. Of course your trust would be broken but at least you would get your rings back.
They are just a symbol but I do believe they are an important symbol of your never ending love for each other as well as the precious metals symbolize the preciousness of your united lives. If you can't recover them then know they were an important part of your life but it is not what made your marriage.

It sounds like you have no choice- replace it if you can, or find a cheap imitation until you can. Could it have accidentally gotten thrown out with the dirty diaper? Either way, you have to look at it like this: if someone stole it, it's gone by now and has been pawned. If it hasn't and it was stolen, it's still gone. If it got thrown out with the diaper, still, it's gone. Replace it somehow- regardless of the value, it's the thought behind whatever ring you replace it with. Be cautious in the future when the same people are over. What a bummer!

If you've asked ("Hey, my husband's rings were on the table the other day and I can't find them. Did you move them out of the way when I brought in the food?" ) and gotten either a cold answer or fervent denial, they're gone. Just keep anything valuable out of the way when they come over from now on.

I had something similar happen with my ex rings.. He left them laying around and the first one the cat got to. (So I bought him another one) .The second on he said he doesnt know.. But dont worry its just a thing.. The love you two have for each other is more than and "thing" could make up for.

that is so wrong. It's sad to say but consider it lost since at this point no one will dare say anthing even if the person did it as part of a practical joke or did it with a 2nd intention...next time be more careful about things that mean a lot to you. Sorry, good luck!

Some one needs to come up with the ring----family should not be allowed to get away with removing things from your home.Just ask them all who they each think would take a wedding ring? The guilty one will make it appear when you stop looking for it....good luck--but speak up.....
