I hate the mall and I hate shopping. But why does so many people like it?

I am with you .I think the younger crowd likes it as a meeting place to hang out and be with their friends .Their parents would rather have them at the Mall ,than running the streets . It also makes it convenient to pick them and their friends up .
I am with you about shopping ,but of course I`m a guy .I do find it strange that a woman doesn`t like to shop .I only buy something when the one I have either rips ,breaks ,tears or wears out .
Although I do indulge myself in fine foods ,collectibles and Dating .

I like being out among people and the mall is a great place to find a lot of people. I rarely even go into a store.

It is because people have to get out.
The better malls have places to eat, and upscale stores that can't be found at most regular shopping centers.
Also it is fun to people watch.

Besides the convenience part,I would have to say it's because Humans are social creatures.We like to be with other people.We like to see other people and be seen.
Sometimes I'll just sit in the food court at the local mall,drink a cup of coffee and watch people.The heartbeat of Humanity beating in your ears as life swirls around you.

It's easy access. And, it's convenient because of the close proximity and variety of stores.

I like it when I have money to spend on things, but usually that's not the case, so I don't go very often.
