i want to put my dvd on there. do i have to download a movie from itunes or can i just put my own

downlaod VIDEORA it converts your movbie files into MP4's which is the file that the ipod can read, in order for it to play.

put the cd in dvd then open itune, you can drag the movies you to your video area then hook up your ipod then you itune will put this movie into your video ipod

can save it 2 itunes but make sure itunes is open first go to advances go to convert to acc then unplug then im,mediantly plug your ipod again
