i want it to be like adopting a zoo animal. where i dont have to take care of it but i still own it.

Talk to a local shelter that takes in barnyard animals. I'm sure they have sponsorship programs available where you can sponsor the animal and get a picture and story on it. In Washington, I know Pasado's Safe Haven has a livestock sanctuary.

Your kidding right? Umm I could get you a cow you could name but it will probably get slaughtered in a year. I know you think that it would help but Unless you got a lot of bank well your not going to get a cow. I know you are against killing animals and all but seriously there are two types of cows milk and meat either way they don't live great lives. If you want to protect an animal get a nice cat or a dog they are friendly and with a cat you just pretty much have to feed it and clean the litter box there isn't a lot to it. So get a different pet is what I am saying.

Cattle is considered "stock". They are not like dogs and cats that have little or no monitary value. Cattle are worth alot of money and most people are not likely going to turn loose of them for free. Occationally dairy farms will give away newborn calves to keep them from drinking their mothers milk, so the milk can be sold. If you are around any dairy farms then you might contact one. The down side of that would be that you would have to bottle feed the calf three times a day until they could eat on their own. Those poor little calves are ususally slaughtered soon after birth and then they are know as Veal Cuts. Try going to a sale barn.

Cows were put on the Earth to be eaten. Since you are a vegetarian, you will screw up the natural flow of the universe by not eating the cow. I own 3800 head of cattle and I will give you one for free, but you have to eat it. Enjoy Beef, Its Whats For Dinner.

Why do you want a cow if you're not going to eat it or learn to take care of it?

if you do adopt one from a farm make sure its not from a farm where they just fatten them up for slaughter or you wont have it for long
