some laws definitely do. Mostly the language laws that require larger french lettering on signs and mandatory frech business names. But as an Anglophone in quebec, I do understand that they are just tryign to preserve the french culture and languare in this increasuingly multicultral and assimilating world. There are several sides to every issue.
In general, there is no problem being an english speaking person in Quebec but it really helps to speak french if you want to live and work here. C'est bon the parler plusieurs langues!
