My husband has been married two times before me. I have spoke with his first ex via telephone and e-mails before. He has a son with her. They live in another state. She is coming into town with out their son for a couple of days. We are planning on having diner with her and I am so nervous about meeting her. Any advise is welcome too.

Sounds like he still has a good relationship with her. This is a good thing and shows that you've scored a good guy.
Just relax and try not to be catty. Whether you like it or not you will be, just TRY not to.
Have fun you'll probably find she's an ok girl after all.
I was married and my wife was really jealous of a georgeous girl that I was friends with. Nothing ever happened between me and this girl but my wife was jealous as hell any way.
By the time I got divorced , 7 years later (I could no longer cope with my wife's mental illness) the two of them were great friends and I haven't seen either of them for over a year now!
Hmmmmmm I wonder if..........naaaah.

Just be nice... they have a child... So he has to place the child ahead of all else. I am actually pretty good friends with my husbands X. They got married because she got pregnant and that never works out, so me and her get along pretty well, and its better that way. This way there are rarely any fights and alot less stress. Just be calm, and be nice. Good luck!

I am sorry but I don't even understand the point of meeting the ex wife. My husband was married once before me and I have no interest in meeting her whatsoever!

Really...what is the point?

Just be yourself, she probably just wants to see what kind of a person you are. Since you are married to her x the father of her child, she will ultimately be seeing you and her (their) son will be spending time with you. Don't worry, their relationship is over and you are in the picture now. Just be yourself. God bless****

Just be nice and treat her the way you would want to be treated if you were the 3rd ex wife meeting the newest wife.

well i would hate to be you y is your husband making you do this he knows its not right to ask you. even if you have try-ed to be nice to her for the child sack and maybe the too of you have had a few talks on the phone like friends. he should know that you don't like her .she came first and no one likes to be around the ex maybe you should tell him how you feel you know how men think the plainer we say it the easier it is for him to understand.

Be civil. don't worry, she is not a threat and obviously wants to keep things friendly. I am on great terms with my ex husband wife and it's no big deal.
Good luck

I would feel extremely jealous and I probably would be hovering over my husband. Try not to do that though if you let on that you're worried or jealous she may think there is something for you to worry about. Just be yourself and smile a lot and trust your hubby that he loves you and not her anymore. Good luck and God bless!

You're nervous because you're afraid you'll be or look inferior to her. Keep in mind, she is an ex. You're the wife.

Just be yourself and try to relax. She is probably just as nervous as you, so it will a little stressful to the both of you.
