I have a ton of suggestions. First, they have to bring back the kind of horror movie that is actually scary....I mean scarier than hell. Next, they have to stop with all the computer-generated effects, which killed the movie "Van Helsing". We need more movies along the lines of Halloween. It doesn't have to be too gory, just scare the hell out of everyone. The remakes they did of House on Haunted Hill and The Haunting a few years back would have been a great idea if they didn't turn them in to Casper the Ghost type of movies towards the end. Amityville wasn't too bad. Like I said, they need movies that will scare the living daylights out of people. Stop with all these PG horror movies, too. They're not scary.

There are so many options. For slasher films there would be all three Saws, The Devil's rejects, Hostel, High Tension.
70s,80s,and 90s- Scream, The Evil Dead 1and 2, The Exorcist, Halloween 1 and 2, and Friday the 13th 1-6.
Classics- Psycho, Night of the Living Dead, and Peeping Tom.
The most shocking one- High Tension

Well generally the types of movies that scare me tend to be things involving possession and demonic elements. Like The Omen or The Exorcist etc.
