Is it true that at times when the Great President runs short of words he manufactures words there and then that almost instantly send people looking for dictionaries?

Yes. He has trouble with the English language.

Yes, he definitely has a history of mispronouncing words. Not just the names of foreign leaders, but also common words. He also stumbles a lot when he speaks. He is also quite well known for saying things that just don't make any sense at all. Here are a few examples:

"One has a stronger hand when there's more people playing your same cards."

"...it was not always a given that the United States and America would have a close relationship."

"There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again." (you know the real saying)

He also uses the wrong words quite often. Like "consumption" instead of "conservation." There are many other examples. If you want a really good laugh, just type in "Bushisms" into any search engine. President Bush has such a big reputation for misspeaking that "Bushisms" is the term given to things he says. And it's not an honorary term by any means.

Yes, I suppose so, but many people are uncomfortable with public speaking. I was head of a child advocacy organization for years and without fail before I spoke in front of a group, I'd have to visit the ladies room and vomit. I could, however, run the organization and organize conferences, etc. Many of the individuals who slam President Bush on Yahoo don't sound terribly literate, and many cannot even find a spell check button on the keyboard. I don't think being very articulate like Gore or Kerry necessarily make you a good leader. Very articulate people can be very boring speakers, and while holding your attention while they are speaking you walk away wondering what in the hell they were talking about?President Bush isn't very articulate, but speaks from the heart, even if we have to figure out the meaning of the words sometimes.

It has been observed by many English scholars that Bush is the most inarticulate president EVER!

Want some proof?

"Too many good OB/GYN's aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country." - 09/06/04

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein." - 05/25/04

"I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe - I believe what I believe is right." - 07/22/01

"The illiteracy level of our children are appalling." - 01/23/04

"I'm the master of low expectations." - 06/04/03

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about ways to harm our people, and neither do we." - 08/05/04

There are hundreds more examples of his verbal blunders. But I think I made my point.

Yes, it's true that public speaking isn't his forte. But let me tell you something: The way I write on here is considerably more articulate than how I speak to others. I'm not lacking in intelligence. I rarely have to utilize spell-check. It's just that when I speak in public, sometimes I get mixed up. Sometimes my mouth can't keep up with my mind.
That's just the way it works. It's normal.

interesting...Bill Clinton, a known abuser of alcohol (among other things) also had a bit of trouble with grammar (and reality). The first President Bush would repeat himself, Reagan would scowl at times, Jimmy Carter would say things no one but other southerners would understand, Nixon stumbled, LBJ rambled in his speeches, Kennedy had that strong
New England accent...
You getting the point?
Try being fair and listening without prejudice.

If this is true it is certainly a lot less many times than that clinically obese grievously babbling blackguard and a gluttonous, thick-headed perfidious provincial philistine, Prescott.

Where have you been?

Sometimes he does not put words in proper sentence structure either. That's one reason he looks like an imbecile with a ailly smirk.

My favorite is nuke-you-lar for nuclear when it comes to mispronounced words. Since he's The Decider, he can make up any words he wants to. There will never be another one like him (let us hope not, anyway).
