It was a very rainy day so my date and I had lunch and went to the movies. (it was a six-auditorium theater) It was still raining when the show was over and there were a few but not many people entering the theater. In other words, there was a lot of activity in the lobby, but it wasn't overly crowded. So, we bought some popcorn and went into another half-empty auditorium. When that film was over, we did it again. The staff might have noticed us, but we were very discreet and kept buying snacks, so nobody kicked us out. Our feeling was that they were making sales they wouldn't have made if we weren't there. If the place had been sold out, we would not have done it.
(that was 20 years ago...I don't know if I would do it now)

Felt like the lowest of the low...actually movie-hopped at the "cheap theater". It was hilarious though - it was years ago when Denny's gave out free meals on your birthday. Two of us took our friend for breakfast - paid for one $2.00 movie and hopped to see two others and rounded out the day with another free meal at Denny's.

Can't find friends like us just anywhere!

No. When leaving the theatre after seeing a movie I'm still under the impression of that movie, still analysing it & dond't have a desire to see another one right away.

of course!! they make it so easy, putting little signs outside of the doors so that you know what movie is showing inside, having all the movies around a corner away from the ticket ripper person, no one checks for tickets at the theatres I go to....I think they want you to do it. lol

Those were the days. I used to do it all the time in High School. I would also sneak in sodas and candy, of course, this is before they allowed you to enter with a box of Pizza. try it!

You can't where I live, they have people stationed at every door that re-check your ticket stubs when you come back in from getting snacks, etc.

Years ago, I did..
