I just got one for xmas, and although it came with 3 cards inside, it does NOT have an ID number on the inside.. is it fake?

I may be fake, if the purse is authentic it should have a serial number inside that starts with "No" (abbreviation for number) and have four numbers after the dash.
If there is no serial number, it is not authentic.
Also, another way to identify if it is authentic is by looking at the seams... the REAL Coach will have the "C's" line up almost perfectly at the seams... the FAKES will be way off.

I have several coach purses( store bought) and I never noticed ID numbers in them

I think it is a fake. It suppose to have a set of # inside. Sometimes fakes also have these # so good luck.

most do, but some of the smaller bags dont. ..
