I have been losing cloudy mucus for the last 2 or so weeks. Today I went into the dr. for my 37 week appointment. The dr. checked my cervix I am 3cm dialated and 70% effaced. and a -2 position. About 2 hours after this I was at home and went to the bathroom (Sorry to be graphic) when I wiped I got the cloudy mucus again but this time it had bright red blood streaks. The next time I went to the BR I got a blood clot type matter, still bright red. Could this be the mucus plug?

Any time you are getting bright red blood discharge you should call your medical practitioner. That could very well be, and is most likely your mucus plug... but I would call them right away and get into see someone. My wife is at 37 weeks also and has been loosing her mucus plug too, but she has never had bright red blood. Hope everything is fine.

Yes it is. Get ready to go to the hospital. Labor could start within the next 24 hours.

That sounds like what happened when I lost mine. Relax, have some food. You are almost there and you need some rest. Good luck!
