the humming noise seems to be coming from the power supply.. I just sprayed my computer out with air... and it seemed to get louder. Can I lube the fan up with oil, or is there something else I can do to get my computer quieter... i can hear it in the other room!!!!

You can get fans at Best Buy. They usually have noise ratings on the package. If it's not the fan, the transformer in the power supply might have a shorted winding. New power supplies aren't expensive.

I would replace the power supply with a Antec quite power supply.

The only thing you can really do would be to buy a quiet power supply.
