I just got off Depo-Provera and have had my period for a month straight now. I went to the doctor today and my pregnancy test came back positive (I have not been sexually active during my cycle). Is it possible this is just a mistake and that my period is somehow raging more hormones than usual?

Crap. The pregnancy test are known for saying you weren't pregnant, when you really are. But not the other way around. If it says you are, I believe you are.

You can be pregnant for a while and not even know it. Not everyone gets morning sickness, or feels anything until about three months. If you had sex within the past few months, then that's my theory.

Your doctor should be able to tell you how far along you are. When they do a ultrasound, they can tell you (more accurately) how far along you are. Blood test can also tell how far along you are.

If you really haven't had sex in the past few months....there are stories you hear where people were raped at doctors office when they were put to sleep.

Just take care of your self!!!

Ugh, depo.

You could always try another pregnancy test to ensure results. I don't know about false positives though. You will find out for sure at your next ob/gyn appointment.
