If watching living humans go about thier daily grind is all that you get when you go to Heaven. Then I'll have to rethink the whole religion thing. Because I guess the dead includes those in Hell and Pugatory too!
What will I do now,its going to be so boring.
One eternal "reality show",and God has got the remote control!

Definitely! They just don't have a body, but can "See" you. I got this from my dad's wallet when he passed. He'd been carrying it around with him for over 30 years. It is called "What is Death" Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.

I had a Professor that believed the spirits of the dead watch us, like we watch TV. After graduating Theology and Philosophy classes.
(same professor) I got to thinking. My life has got to be one of the most boring shows on TV.
Sure they watch over us.
But are we good viewing choices, or do they channel surf?
Who lives the great dramas or action adventures?
Is it all sit coms?
I would hate to think we all lead a "soap opera" life.

I hope not. I'd hate to think that after you die, you'd still be interested in watching the living, like there wasn't anything better to do.

So, if there are dead people watching me, STOP IT. It's bad enough W does it.

No the dead are asleep and how can they be watching us. Now the angels may be watching cause they are our guardian angels.

No, they have moved on to another plane of existence. They do, however, occasionally interact with this world. That is, their spirits do. The 'dead' are just the human vessels that once held the spirits.

Now just how paranoid and guilt ridden can you get.
Dead are dead. They no longer exist.
They are not there to see or hear.
That is what death means.
Now get back to looking after the living.
