formula... =sum(H3):(H17) keeps coming up with 2nd H underligned...this formula worked for column G. Can somebody help me out.

click on the cell you want to sue as the total and press the big sum button (looks like a big E) on the menu bar and it will do it automatically. You can move the dashed lines to cover all the cells you want to include

The formula is wrong it should just read sum(h3:H17), but use thhe Big E short cut

Try reworking the formula for that cell by typing =SUM(H3:H17).

Try "=sum(H3:H17)" with "General" formatting.

I think it should actually be

=sum(h3:h17)

=SUM(H3:H17)

well what i think that you formatted the cells as "TEXT". change it to "GENERAL" and it might work.
