you cannot upgrade video cards, only replace them.
128mb is not really enough anymore. I have a 256mb x1600 and have trouble playing some games. I reccommed a x1800 or geforce 7800-7900
Also, you have to consider whether or not your computer has a agp or pci express card, because if its agp, you are greatly limited.
You might even want to get a new computer instead of putting a hundred and something dollars into a card that you wont be able to use in any newer computers.

Newegg.com is one of the best places to get hardware. They are one of the most respected hardware companies and their product repair and replacement support is excellent.

Sorry this is not possible. Video cards are hardware inside your machine that you must purchase to increase video memory.

When you see a game that refers to memory that was an older term that meant if you have this you can play this, but today things have changed as far as what brand. As how much memory you have is not an important factor.

Lets try this,

Now to find out what you have in your machine.

Click Start then run and type in dxdiag then click ok

This will bring up the direct X diagnostic utility.

If you are prompted on WHQL click NO (this checks every driver to make sure it is MS certified.. in other words bullcrap)

At top of diagnostic tool there is tabs, click on display tab.

Top left next to name is your video card.

If this reads Intel, Sis or Via this is considered an onboard video chipset and is NOT replaceable.

Not to say you cant, but we will get into that later.

Chip Type Will identify your particular card, hopefully identifies as an AGP (advanced graphics port)

If you have an AGP card you are good to go as they are cheap. If you want to do general gaming I would suggest this.**Please note that this card will not run newer games***

Now if you have onboard video, and if you have an extra PCI slot on your machine you could try a PCI video card like this.

Hope this helps and happy holidays :)

no, its not possible to upgrade online. u need to buy a replacement video card. i would suggest u buy a 128-bit, 256MB video card, since the difference in performance between 64MB and 128MB is not that noticeable. the "128-bit portion" means the video card processes information in bigger volumes (than a 64-bit card). in addition, try to upgrade ur RAM (memory stick) to 512MB or higher, 1Gig preferably.

for the video card, try geforce, or ati radeon. cost around $80

You will have to buy a new one.

The only thing you can update online would be the drivers for the graphics card. This would not increase the memory as the graphics card is a physical part of your PC.

As to how much I would suggest taking as much as you want to spend and getting the best you cab afford. Take a look at dabs.com, savastore.com or crucial.com

The video memory doesnot help lots in the journey that your card isnt useful adequate to attend to a game...additionally committed memory is speedier than shared memory. Heres the order of selection, for pc playing cards: Nvidia / Ati 7800 / ----- 7600 / 1600 6600 / X700 ------- / X600 6200 / X1400 Dont purchase an X300. in case you pick to play the latest video games, i might advise stay abovew the X700 I truly have a working laptop or pc with 1GB ram and 128MB X700, Centrino. My chum offered a working laptop or pc with 1GB ram and 256MB Shared memory X1400, with Centrino DUO. yet provided that X1400 is weaker than the X700, all the video games ran speedier on my pc. Edit: Dont purchase a working laptop or pc based on the quantity of gadget RAM it has. which would be upgraded, the video memory can not.

Sorry to be rude but. When you asked that question. My first thought is box up your pc and sell it. and second of all do you have built in video or AGP or PCI?..... the old pci and AGP are going obsolete. if you have built in video and no AGP slot. your just going to throw your money away buying a ati 9550 PCI or 5500 PCI since the card will be slower then the 64mb one you have now if its built in. I would just recommend building a new pc with PCI express to get your moneys worth...

You'll have to read the docs. Few video cards are upgradeable these days, however. And if it is, you can't do that on-line as it's a hardware upgrade. You might be able to buy the memory on-line but you'd have to install it by hand.
