The idea of werewolves is well documented, it seems to stem from a rare condition called pyphoria. The sufferor did not like sunlight, the skin would react to it. The gums bleed, and there are other signs and symptoms. This meant the sufferer would only venture out at night.

Lycanthrope, is a schitzophrenic condition where the person believes that he or she is a wolf.

There is a book called "Werewolves" by Basil Copper. It looks at these conditions with reasonable objectivity. It also looks at documented accounts of feral children and cases of werewolves from different parts of the world throughout recorded history.

A fascinating read if you are interested in the subject.

This is no joke, vampires are real, any creature that drinks blood is a vampire. This applies to animals such as vampire bats, vampire finches, ox peckers that frequently drink blood etc. There many vampires, a few of them are human, though not many, but some practise vampyrism on a daily basis.
The matter of werewolves is rather different, it is a myth.

No of course not.

Vampires and werewolves are in the same category as religions. They were just invented by more primitive folk back in the old days in order to explain certain things which they could not comprehend.
