Can you change the forms of the chosen words or alter the sentence slightly to make it fit? I would use predominantly if you can use the ly suffix. Or use "defiled with."

In my opinion, the countryside is predominanty billboards that block our view of nature.

In my opinion, the countryside is defiled with billboards that block our view of nature.

Disarming would fit grammatically, but it makes no sense:

In my opinion, the countryside is disarming billboards that block our view of nature.

(How can the countryside make billboards any less violent or obtrusive?)

Or use words with encroach and alter the form:

In my opinion, the countryside is encroached upon by billboards that block our view of nature.

Similar with chafe:

In my opinion, the countryside is chafed by billboards that block our view of nature.

I have a feeling that you didn't include the entire list. The last word does not even appear to be a word according to a dictionary I checked. Oh, your repeated post tells me that word should be renown.

If you can only use ONE word, it will have to be a word ending in 'ing'. The only word ending in 'ing' on your list is 'disarming' but that doesn't make sense. You could say 'littered with' but that's two words.

the ones that i would choose are
1. disarming- to remove
2.prodigy- abnormal, monstrous
3.recluse-shut off or apart from the world; living in seclusion, often for religious reasons.
**renow is not a word. re now is or renown but not renow

None of the owrds will fit without another word added :

. . .is disarming WITH billboards

Or . . .is dire WITH billboards

See the problem.

therefore NO word will fit your blank. Sorry
