Er, I don't know much about anything pre-90s (heavier stuff's my bag) but Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana (Even if you didn't like them, they were influential), Judas Priest, Linkin Park and Matchbox 20, just to name a few, should definitely be on that list.
