Is it supposed to be a tradition again? I haven't thought of it yet. Whatever I fancy on the day, really. Would be lovely to have a little cabbage, though... ;-)

New years eve I make a HUGE pan or two of broth and then Every new years day ( sometimes just after the clock has struck 12) my house is invaded for those wanting broth and ham & pease pudd sarnies, we have a few other bits and bobs but mainly it's good old soup and drink lol

Hoppin' John for luck. Black-eyed peas, tomatoes, other veggies, rice. It's a delicious side dish. You can serve it with anything -- ham, turkey, roast beef. Wishing you health, happiness, and prosperity in '07! God bless.

its my partners brothers birthday, so we go to the inlaws and have a huge dinner/buffett type thing, with all sorts on, and have a few glasses of wine or sangria (she makes it), then she does another one in the evening if we are all still there (which we will be because her food is lovely lol)!

On new years day I have my grand parents, auntie and uncle and cusins and other uncle coming round. My mum is cooking lasagnia and some turkey bake thing.

Usually roast beef and the trimmings, this year were having lamb with rosemary and the trimmings, have a great new year.

Well in New Orleans we have a big pot of cabbage with ham hoc's and sausages an a small pot of black eye peas
