The cramps are your uterus stretching. It will settle down by your 2nd trimester.
Meanwhile, drink plenty of water. Dehydration makes the cramps worse.
Congrats and good luck!

I had horrible cramps... that's why I didn't take a pregnancy test right away (I thought my period would be here next week)!
During my first check up they did want to check the cramps to make sure itt wasn't a tubal pregnancy. But after reading up on everything (after I got the OK)I found out the reason those cramps were like that was not menstral cramps but my uturus stretching.
I'm not 15 weeks and it has gone on and off. But are nowhere near as bad as they were the first 1 - 2 months.
Good luck & congratulations!

I am about 6 weeks now and I have the same problem. I just found out that I was pregnant this weekend because I thought that they were menstrual cramps. The nurse that helped me told me that it was normal. But I hate it! It's so uncomfortable!

100% normal. I am 7 weeks and have the same cramps for about 3 weeks too. I even went to my doctor about it and he said its the ligaments in your uterus stretching for the baby. Breathing in and out real deep seem to help me.

i had the exact same thing during my first trimester too, you can safely take paracetamol, or i think in usa its called tylenol, (im from uk!). apart from that nothing really, if the pain is worryiing you alot then dont be scared to check everything is on with your doctor, i done this a few times with this pain because i was so paranoid, but its better to be safe! other things may be a possible urine infection?.

I was getting cramps early on too (I'm about 8 weeks now). If you are bleeding you may be having a miscarriage. If no blood with cramps, it's probably ok. Did you talk to your OB/GYN about it?
