Is it possible to "lose" a tampon?

I assume you mean in your vagina, no it is not possible to do that. The muscles hold it in place and the cervix is too small to for the tampon to get in the uterus. Dont worry, once it's in it wont go anywhere until you take it out.

It depends what you mean with losing. You can not lose a tampon in the vagina - it is a limited space! You can always locate it with your finger. Some women occasionally lose a tampon when they go to the bathroom. Hope this helps.

It can only be lost in your vagina. Either you did not notice it come out on the toilet or the string is also inside. If the tampon is still inside you make sure to get checked because this could cause an infection.

sort of ... you can have one slip out when you are going potty and not know it (especially if you are having a heavy flow.)

or the other way - the strings can slip up inside (Doesn't happen often, but it is possible.)

I'm afraid you need to go "fishing" to figure out which happened.

Nope, it has no where to go. You just have to dig a little farther or even go to the doctors to get it out.
