in the movie it doesnt show how he died all i know is that he went to the kitchen by takin the long way around 2 show his mom that he was still helpful and then he doesnt come back after his mom and otis called him his real name was melvin and he was the bass singer of the temptations he was the only that always stuck wit otis through everythin. he was otis's best friend and the strongheaded one of the group.
