I'm going to actually not drive anywhere on Christmas day next year - spent 4+ hours on the road!

AND I'm going to make time to make popcorn and cranberry strings for my tree :P

Good question. x-mas falls to me next year and boy oh boy am I gonna do it different. This year was in my brother's basement. Dinner was a party sub from subway. The tree was fake. We all sat on card chairs. you get the idea. I'm looking at it like an investment. I'm pulling out all of the stops dammit. I'm gonna cook real food, put up a real BIG tree, decorate the house and yard, make up the spare rooms for out of town/drunk guests. The whole nine yards baby!!!!

I am going to spend at least part of the Christmas holiday with my Grandchildren, and Daughters. I am going to watch my spending throughout the year, and only get what is necessary to make it without going in debt and NOT having money for going to see them during the Holidays. I am going to focus on getting the few gifts I do buy early instead of waiting until Nov to get the shopping done. That way,I already have them bought and can deliver them myself. Happy Prosperous New Year to everyone

I've already bought some decorations for next year. I'm decorating the tree in teal and silver with clear lights. And I'm going to make the cranberry orange vodka that i never got around to making this year.

Oh boy, I'm so sorry about the traffic. That is awful.

I wouldn't change a thing, I had a perfect Christmas. I am lucky; my family is older and we don't buy gifts anymore; makes it very easy. I put up all my decorations Thanksgiving weekend, and take them all down this weekend, since it's a three day holiday for me. I have this down to a science!

Happy New Year to everyone!

I am going to try to forgive those who I have been holding a grudge towards. I want to host more parties with friends and family. I also want to do the baking and crafts that I didn't have time to do this year with my kids. I think I will also purchase an artificial tree so I can put it up sooner and also buy more decorations.

I'm going to make more time for my friends and family. I'm going to make cookies and candy to give to my neighbors. I'm going to get a real tree! I'm going to .... you get the idea, I was asleep most of this Christmas and just woke up and guess what? It's over..... hey... I only had 11 and a half months warning that it was coming!!! What did you expect with such short notice?

I am going to try harder to buy gifts throughout the year instead of killing myself in Nov and Dec. Takes all the fun out of it. I WILL NOT COMMIT MYSELF TO PROJECTS THAT BEGIN SHORTLY BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND HAVE TO BE DONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I also hope it is colder next year, of course I can't change that, but it didn't even seem like the holiday season here (Memphis, tn) because it was so warm. Couldn't sit by the fire and sip hot apple cider.

I'm going to get all my cookie dough mixed and frozen in advance this year; it will cut a lot of my time usage during the immediate holiday season. Then all I'll have to do is roll it out, cut, bake, and decorate.

I will not stress so much over buying gifts. I will buy less gifts, I am done giving gifts to all members of my family (excluding kids). We're either not exchanging or we're drawing names.
