the school system brainwashes everyone in school
when a student or teacher makes a request for something
the system looks at why not, first instead of how to work together

i have had numerous encounters with teachers and staff
past and present in a number of different schools

presently we [tutorisland] have over a hundred teachers helping students
most of our teachers are happy with us, because they control their methodology

there isn't a single case where a school teacher has welcomed one of our teachers to communicate about a student both are trying to educate

Let me think about this. In my entire school career I really had only one bad teacher. He was an unhappy little man with a drinking problem. Are there bad teachers? Yes. Are they the worst people you will ever meet? Think about the butchers who torture and slaughter children around the world for power. When you put things into perspective it can often change your viewpoint. Be an agent of positive change, not a hate monger.

Honestly, since I am a teacher, I can say that most teachers I know are pretty incredible. But I have also met some pretty terrible teachers--and I had them as I was growing up (one reason I decided to become one) and I'm not sure if you're asking your question because you need to vent or because you really want an answer but I'll give you my theory about the "bad" ones.

I think the teaching profession, like law enforcement, can entice people who have an issue with authority. They are insecure people who need to be in control of something, and so they move toward a profession that gives them inherent authority. And they abuse it so they can feel better about themselves. That's my theory. But I truly think that these teachers are the minority. I think you have to have compassion for these teachers--if they are in your life. Whatever is bothering them, they feel the need to take it out on kids--and that's kind of sad.

Finally, every teacher just has an occasional bad day. Just like you:)

Wait 'til you grow up kid!
Then you'll meet car salesmen and lawyers and politicians and you will fondly remember those wonderful people who taught you at school.
Seriously though, look at some of the little shits that they have to put up with and can you blame them for eventually often becoming bitter and twisted?
If you just try your best to gain wisdom from all of them you'll find life a little more pleasant.
And if you have a real A hole of a teacher then the wisdom you must gain from them is how not to be such an A hole!

Because attendance is compulsory, and the money for their salary is taken by force. If a product is worth anything at all, people do not need to be forced to use it, or forced to pay for it. The public schoolteacher could not, by any stretch of the imagination, sell his services on the open market. They have a monopoly enforced by law. These facts make them universally obnoxious to anyone who values liberty.

I don't know what teachers you have in mind, but that is your personal opinion. And, the reason you have this opinion is probably your own fault. What have YOU done to make them dislike you? Look in the mirror, my friend! Every action has a consequence.

I have never found that. There are bad eggs of course in every profession - but the worst people I have ever met no - that just isn't the case.

Good Luck!!!

Because they make you think and no one here wants to do that.
