Also, the packaging sounds authentic to me.

Tiffany only sells it's jewlery on it's official site.. The basic way to tell if something is real or fake is to test the weight.. Tiffany pieces are heavier in weight.. I went to a purse and jewlery party which sells "fab. fakes" and the tiffany jewlery was very lightweight.. I have a real Tif. bracelet so it was obvious.. Though, if you don't want to spend the money get a fake who's gonna know? Good luck

It should have a Tiffany & Co. stamp somewhere on the piece. It won't have a "certificate of authenticity." Often times diamonds and other precious stones will come with their GIA ratings. (Gemological Institue of America.)

For goodness sakes it's your boyfriend. If he really loves you enough to get you Tiffany jewelry he would never get a fake one. And as a good girlfriend you shouldn't worry if it's fake or not. It's a gift from your boyfriend and you should be happy that he got you such a nice present.

tiffany is the only person that can sell tiffany jewelry. noone else can. so if he got it cheap on e-bay, it's fake. i am a jewler and have been for 10 years.

the only way is to take it down to a tiffany store and let them tell you, they do the evaluation for free
