I have a 1994 2-door Tahoe (more commonly called the Chevy K-Blazer or Chevy Blazer Full-Size) with 183,XXX miles on it and it runs like a champ. This vehicle has been in the family since '96, and has not had any major issues. I know something went bad on the 4-wheel drive unit 2 years ago (brother didn't tell me what it was), but other than that, it has been a great vehicle. The 350 engine in it runs strong even today. Transmission is showing its age a bit.

These vehicles are rare. I get asked all the time about it, since no one ever sees a 2-door Tahoe. I've even gotten offers from people wanting to buy it while I'm at the grocery store! If you can find one, I'd say do it. In my opinion, they are well worth it.

Before you buy, check out this webpage I found. You just plug in the year, make, and model, and you get a review of the vehicle, including common problems and user reviews. Of all the vehicles I've researched on this page (and I do this a lot cause I'm a car guy), I've yet to see a vehicle so well liked as these K-Blazers. http://autos.msn.com/home/reliability_ratings.aspx

Hope this helps you out.

it is comparable to the silverado and sierra p/u of the same years. I have a '97 z71 p/u(180,000mi). chevy/gmc have built a smooth riding truck for a long time, and the 350 is almost bullet proof. aside from tires, reg maint., fuel pump and water pump it runs great. you'll usually get issues because you might be buying somebody else's problems, but check it over real good.
