Of course everyone had a different concept of the future. But I think a lot of people around my age (late 30s) didn't think we were going to make it to the 21st century due to the threat of nuclear war.

Nah....We knew it would be a lot different, but I think we had enough sense to realize it wasn't going to be like the Jetsons. Then again, maybe we were too stoned to know!

Lol- oh man, I sure did! I remember when "1980" sounded so futuristic & "The year 2000" was gonna be the sh1t! ..Eh...I'll have the 70s & early 80s again over 2006...
