White blood cells are primarily for fighting infection. There are several different types and each has a more specific function, but essentially they kill bacteria and viruses and other invading organisms.

they kill bacteria in our blood....basically they help clean our blood
when we get sick especially the medicine tarhget these whitecells to kill bacteria
thats why anti biotecs are not highly recommended at times especially overdose as they not only kill bad cell and bacteria but can also kill white cells in our body.
