Vitamin C is proven to lighten dark circles. Take at least 500mg a day and you can make a mixture of honey (for moisture) and a squirt of an orange slice and put it under your eyes. Also, if you get puffy, try putting a metal spoon in the freezer and then on your eyes. You will see that the puffiness will go away instantly!

Dark circles can be faded by using cold compresses on your eyes. I put ice in a washcloth and rub it under my eyes for a couple of minutes.
Also, make sure you don't have any allergies that could be causing the problem. Sometimes just getting your allergies under control can help alleviate the problem.
Good Luck!
