i have it with songs but somehow i cant hear the songs. i am trying im not sure how to put it on. it has three settings in the back. and when i press play the songs dont play...does anyone know what to do?

You have to lick the switch to either the middle or bottom settings to play. I have one and you have to press the play button a couple of times before it plays. If this does not work try some different headphones. If the light on the front of the i pod starts to flash you have pressed the play button too many times and the i pod is pause. Just press play again and it should start to play.
If you have tried all of this and it is still not working it is falty so send it back for repairs or a replacement.
