it wont be easy, and the funnyest part - all parents do it - is that they forbid you to dress like a dude cause they are worried. basicly, they wont let you be who you really are out of concerne. it's typical and it will be hard. how old are you? i'd advice you not to do a lot of things against their will, though, indeed, it's your life - it's kinda hard to live without a family to support you. better persuade them, than make them accept something!

If they're letting you dress boyish and just complain a lot, then do it and learn to ignore their crap. Maybe take them to a PFLAG meeting to help them become more accepting of your gender-variant behavior. There's always going to be horrible people out there to have to put up with. Unfortunately you're stuck with some of those people for a while longer. In most places though, you can move out on your own in a year or two. Three tops, even if you haven't graduated yet.

not much you can do. just keep dressing like a guy and hopefully they will realize that this is what makes you happy.. in the end, "wanting you to be happy" should be the only thing that matters..

You have to be yourself no matter what anyone else thinks. Your parents will accept you in time, believe me. It took my parents and friends a long time to accept that I wanted to be female. They all eventually got over it and now accept me for who I am.
