have a coin, looks rough stamped on possibly silver. back side has a palm like tree with four boughs on each side and is surrounded by a circle of dots. the writing looks to be middle eastern. i don't know. the face has a fruit that looks like an avacado with two large leaves comming out of the top. this side too is surrounded by the circle of dots and is adorned woth the same writing. anybody know this coin?

I don't know where your coin came from but you could try to find a world coins reference guide at the local library.

Well Iraq and Saudi Arabia use palm trees on their coins. I am more inclined to say it is from Iraq but the avacado and large leaves have me stumped. They must be something else. In order to figure it out I need a good scan or photo. On most world coins, I have books from 1600-2000 AD. I have spent a couple of hours on this, but I finally have to give up due to lack of info.

Without a picture it is too hard to know.
But it may be from Algeria, Israel, or Iraq.

i think mt history teacher was talking about it. i think it was called the Ramada-econ coin, or some fancy word.
