Well, I get bored easily and I want something to do. If you have like some games to play (not on the internet please) outside or with friends. Try to avoid things that do with computer, video games, and television. If you have any hobbies, can you tell me about that? Any crafts or easy dishes to make in the kitchen? Thanks

How about volunteering? Depending on your likes and interests, you can:

-- Visit the elderly, take them meals, read to them, walk with them, etc.
-- Help children learn to read, be a Big Brother, work at the YMCA, etc.
-- Build homes for the impoverished with Habitat for Humanity, help out at soup kitchens or homeless shelters, etc.
-- Go to local animal shelters and walk dogs, socialize puppies/kittens, pet, groom, clean kennels/litterpans, do laundry for them, etc.
-- Help clean up parks, streams, etc.

I also knit when I can find the free time! It's relaxing and fun, and you can make things for yourself, for your family & friends, for charity, whatever. Visit www.knittyboard.com -- they're very friendly and helpful to new knitters.

You know why I'm never bored anymore? I have an 18mo old son. LOL.

Scrapbook your pictures (what I do).
Learn to do counted cross-stitch (another hobby of mine).
Read. And, Yes, volunteer.
Play solitaire with real cards. Or get a partner or more (1 deck for each person) and play "Hell", it's a "double" solitaire game.
Play some old games such as jacks, marbles or fly a kite, jump rope (good exercise too). Hey, exercise!
If you have a pet, take it for a walk or play with it.
Call bingo for a retirement home (one of my "hobbies") or nursing home residents or go on encouragement visits to the residents (check with the office first, they have age requirements and they check your records usually to protect the residents).
Draw, color, paint. Even coloring for adults can be relaxing and they have coloring books with patterns, flowers that a teen or an adult might enjoy coloring. You can usually find them at craft stores or art supply stores.
In fact, visit some of the hobby and craft stores for more ideas.

I checked out a book from the library that was a feild guide to urban trees. Then I walked around identifying the trees planted in my neighborhood. Also, you can do the same with flowers people use for landscaping in your region. It gets me outside and looking around at my environment and also mentally engaged.

Another possibility is bird watching/identifying or mushroom identifying. Also, rock collecting. Its neat to learn more about the world around you. Lastly, walk a dog, even if its your neighbors, you can play fetch, etc. Last thought, almost anywhere in the country that's urban, you probably live near a b-ball court, you could practice or join a game. Also, jump roping is good for you, though boring.

Hi!

The easiest dish I know; buy some slivered almonds and some semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate .... butter a baking tray lightly with butter or spray it with cooking spray .... melt the chocolate gently over hot water , remove from heat the and mix in the slivered almonds.... (which you may toast very lightly in the oven on a baking tray for 10 minutes at 350' (heat first!) ...) take a small spoonful of the chocolate-nut mixture and place in little heaps on the baking tray you haave prepared with the butter or spray ... and let the heaps cool until firm to the touch .... voila!
you have candies!

The other thing is to find leaves - even leaves of your houseplants - and trace the outlines of them onto drawing paper and with colored pencils copy the leaves .... make a nice folder or scrapbook of them. ,, make sure you put down when you did the drawing, where you found the leaf, and hopefully you will know or later find out what kind of leaves you have drawn .....

Peace & Love

You could take up reading? Puzzles are fun, maybe try a game with family such as Scrabble or Monopoly.

Audio books are fun if you don't like to read. They come on CD. You can lie in your dark room, close your eyes, and be transported into the story. I live audio books!

Baking is also fun. You could make something special for dessert for everyone in the house!

Go Geocaching!! Check out www.geocaching.com for more information. It's a world wide internet based treasure hunt, totally free (well, having a GPS unit helps, but you can cache without one).
