Wow...So many things to answer in One Question...Maybe we should get 50 points for this one. All this extra work...

1. Flying cars for the masses of people. That idea was voted down by the FAA.

2. Visaphones. Well the early A.T.T. videophone was a total bust, but they did manufacture and distribute that unit in big metro areas with little success due to the price per month, and poor video quality. Modern computers with CAM have replaced that concept and you can now make telephone calls point to point over the internet and you can also have Video Chats over the Internet quite easily. There are also many Cell Phones with CAMs that can take a pictures (also movies) and also do text messaging. So, in my opinion, that technology is already here, but not marketed by the telephone companies as equivalent to regular telephone service.

3. Several companies market robot cleaning machines that will vacuum your house for you. So the basic idea of that plan has been accomplished, however I think that the dog poop aspect of their performance is lacking somewhat. Dishwashing is now very automated, but you still have to discard the food trash and place the dishes into the dishwasher machine yourself. So that part is a close to reality situation.

4. Telephone Booths that Tele-Transport people are a degree or two into the fantasy world still. You cannot win all gambles...

5. Cloning "Machines" never seem to hav e happened. The various political and religious groups went berzerk over the idea of cloning and seem to have halted all progress in that area, so I think this one should be called for "INTERFERENCE" by an umpire. It might have happened.

6. Anit-Matter rockets just didn't happen. This idea went into the big ceramic tube that flushes due to the problem of Anti-Matter storage containers. Designers could not come up with a nice little metal can, or glass jar that stored Anti-Matter without blowing up or suddenly just vanishing. So, even though some small steps of progress might have been made in research and production of Anti-Matter, the results were never seen or recorded because they vanished instantly.

7. The flying belt concept was researched and developed and actually produced. A model of this manufactured item is on dlsplay at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC. James Bond also used a British one in a "007" movie.

8. The warless society had no input from Hesbolah, the Palestinian State, or the extremist Muslims of the world. So,
I feel that this idea was a bit Western Philosophy slanted in the development phase. Don't look for much on this topic in the near future. There was never an Iranian or North Korea buy - in during the original think tank sessions that came up with the plan.

9. Lots of new things are coming in the future, you just have to keep a positive attitude and accept a few failures along the way.
Take the Cell Phone. Wow. What a miracle for the masses.
Next we need an HIV Cure Pill. After that then I just don't know.

Regards,
Zah

Where are the flying cars for the Masses?
If we weren't so stupid, we could have them, but you know there are really ALOT of regulations you have to follow in order to fly. Unfortunately most of us can't even drive the frickin speed limit, much less a certain altitute depending on which way you are heading.

Where's the Visaphones so we can see who were talking to?
Computers can do that. You need to just BUY the webcam and you're in the FUTURE.

Where are very own Rosie the robot maid to vacum, wash dishes, and clean up cat and dog poop?

Dishes: Dishwashers can DO that, you just need to BUY a dishwasher and you're in the FUTURE. The poop you're on your own, just don't plug up your Roomba

Where's the teleporting booths that beem us from point to A point Z?
We haven't even worked out point A to Point B with an Airmobile and you want point Z with a teleporting booth? Besides that cell phones have replaced phone booths, so there is no infrastructure for it anymore.

Where are the cloning machines that allow to make exact or almost exact copies of ourselves
Feds can't agree on this yet.

Where's the Anti-matter rockets that would have an unlimited supply
Project Aurora. Shhhhhh!

And where's the flying belt or flying jet pack so we can go into the sky at will?

Yeppers
What happen to all theese fantastic things promised to come in the future?
The morphed into even greater things. Look at the communicators on Star Trek, those things are HUGE compared to a modern cellphone, and they were just talking ground to space. We are ground to space and back to ground via landlines, pretty speedy if you ask me.

Our technology has already exceeded our humanity a long time ago. Why would we wish to increase the gap further and at a faster pace?
