According to a Google search, several knife-care sites say that I should oil my pocket knife blade to keep in from rusting.

What kind of oil should be used?

I have never owned a knife before...any more tips you can share?

I merely use a affordable gerber knife from objective. i think of its approximately 3 inches stainless-metallic (or likes like), and value -20 dollars. relatively effective knife, with a knob and a sprint indent so as that with the suitable tension the knife can fly out as quickly as a spring loaded knife! Ive carried it popular in my pocket for over a 365 days. Now im finding for one comparable yet a sprint larger

Machine Oil--You can get it in Wal-Mart in the sewing department. It is widely used to oil sewing machines. 3 in 1 oil is another good oil. These oils are also used on the stones to sharpen your knives. Hope this helps.

Nothing expensive, regular vegie oil will do the trick. I have knives and also a sausage maker that has items you need to keep lubricated. Regular oil.........as long as it is oiled...no problem!!!

I use slick 50 or tri-flow aerosol lubricant. A little bit goes a long way.
