A Terabyte (TB) is 1024 gigabytes (1024GB).
I'm posting this because the poster above has a nice chart but is unfortunately slightly off, he is using Tb and says Terabyte, unfortunatly Tb is TeraBIT, not Terabyte. (Which is 1/8th as much) If you see it with a lowercase b it means bits, and uppercase B means bytes.
1bit = 0 or 1
1byte = 8bits
1KB = 1024bytes = 1024B = 8196b = 8Kb
1MB = 1024KB = 1megabyte
1GB = 1024MB = 1gigabyte
1TB = 1024GB = 1 terabyte = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes = 8,796,093,022,208 bits
1PB = 1024TB = 1petabyte
1ZB = 1024PB = 1zetabyte

1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte
1024 Kb = 1 Megabyte
1024 Mb = 1 Gigabyte
1024 Gb = 1 Terabyte
You can think of each byte as one letter on a page in a book. A book with a terabyte of letters would contain over 1,000,000,000,000 characters!!!
