My boyfriend and all my friends are out of town for the holidays and I don't know whether I should stay in and do nothing, stay in and drink by myself (not as sad as it sounds, I'm cool with alone time) or go to the pub nearby and celebrate with strangers.
Your opinion?

You should celebrate and live for the moment. History show that new years eve should nothing but drunken fun.

Do you have any family you can celebrate with?
I'm usually waaaay up & excited for NYE every year, but this year I'm not so into it for some reason. My best friend and I, and a couple of our other friends are just going out and having a dinner at the beach and going to watch the fire works and hang out. Low key, but still fun. Doing the same thing with family could also be fun.

Depends on where you live, if its safe to be outside, then a pub could be nice. But in my opinion its always better to celebrate this occasions with family and friends. Stay inside your home, drink and dont drive and be safe, Good Luck

Go to the pub & celebrate with strangers. Just stay in control & don't leave your drink alone so no one can slip anything into it.

Get drunk, head on out to a pub and make it your task for the night to find out what everyone in the pub's New Year's wish is.
I did it one year and I was surprisingly overwhelmed by the answers I got.

Go out to a pub with strangers. Dont be a loser and sit at home drinking by yourself (freakin lush). Be a sociable lush.

Go to the bar, introduce yourself to some of the other patrons and then party and bring in the New Year with some new friends!

I think you should make your new year as safe as possible. drinking with strangers would not be such a good idea. why not stay at home and enjoy a good movie. buy some of your favorite snacks and enjoy

I find that New Year's is really overrated. There seems to be pressure to go out and drink and celebrate. Do what you really want to do.

well, it really depends where you live. If you live in NY, i say go to Times Square.
If you are in L.A., there are many cool places to hang out in Hollywood.
